Wonderful watch box. 100 over 10! I definitely would buy another one.

BLACK IS NOT A COLOR THAT COVERS
The WHALER 4-Slot Black is not made from naturally black wood.
It is crafted from solid North American walnut, finished using a black dyeing process inspired by Meok (墨), the traditional black medium used in East Asian calligraphy and painting.
Like Meok, the color does not sit on the surface. It penetrates the material, allowing tone and depth to form from within.
Rather than coating the wood, the black finish is absorbed along the grain, so the grain remains visible.
Depth emerges within the black. -
GRAIN REVEALED BY LIGHT, DEPTH FORMED IN BLACK
Depending on lighting and viewing angle, the natural grain of walnut subtly appears beneath the black surface.
This is not the result of covering the material, but of coloring it in a way that respects its structure.
This black is not decorative. It is structural.
A result of material and finish working together. -
DETAILS CHOSEN TO COMPLETE THE BLACK
The 4-slot Black edition does not use brass components. Instead, stainless steel is applied to maintain tonal balance with the black surface.
By reducing unnecessary contrast, the design allows focus to remain on form, surface, and the depth of the black itself.
Every detail is selected not for ornament or function alone, but for how it contributes to the overall impression of black. -
INTERIOR BOTTOM OPTIONS
The Black edition offers a choice for the interior bottom.
One option is a black-dyed walnut bottom panel, finished in a deep black tone that maintains the visible grain and completes an uninterrupted presence.
The other is a solid Hinoki bottom panel, left natural to introduce a quiet contrast and subtle warmth.

Great product
The best place to display and admire your timepieces.
Absolutely fantastic watch box. Beautiful, hight quality and the mechanism to open the box and display the watch is so satisfying every single time. Absolutely recommend!
Beautifully made! My son was so excited to have a display case for his first good watch!
Perfectly and beautifully made!
Great quality and looks exactly as displayed online. The shipping communication and tracking options were also customer-friendly.
Great product!
This display case is amazingly beautiful. Very well crafted, gorgeous wood, and super functional. It’s the perfect storage and display case for my daily wear watch collection. I love everything about it, from the see-through glass to the way the watches glide towards you when the box is opened, to how the watches stay on the stick pads and how the bracelets are not stressed as with other pillow type cases. It is a piece of functional art that matches the beauty of the timepieces within it. This is the best watch case I’ve ever seen.
Concept is great! Customer service is/was wonderful! Craftsmanship is excellent!
Great gift for my wife who used to just leave her watches flat on the dresser. Now they're nicely displayed in the Whaler box.
I wanted to share a sincere note of appreciation for the Whaler display case I received. It is, without exaggeration, the most beautiful watch case I have ever come across. The aesthetic, the craftsmanship, and the quiet confidence of its design create an aura unlike anything else in the watch‑collecting world. The craftsmanship reflects a level of dedication and mastery that deserves the highest respect. It is clear that this piece could only have been created by artisans who approach their work with true commitment and pride. There is a restraint to the design that feels intentional and rare. It is elegant without posturing, functional without compromise, and visually striking without ever needing to announce itself. It is, in every sense, a true one‑of‑one. You at Whaler have created something genuinely special, and I hope you know the significance of that. Pieces like this become part of a collector’s story, and this one certainly has become part of mine. I’ll admit—I am already tempted to purchase a second. And should you ever decide to produce a six‑slot version in this same design language, I would purchase two without hesitation. 정말 훌륭한 작품을 만들어 주셔서 감사합니다. Warm regards, Jake
Beautiful craftsmanship. Holds and displays my four watches perfectly. Love the movement on opening and closing.
perfect! just as expected. feels nice and is beautiful!
The most beautiful watch case ever!
What a great watch display case! It is just fun to open and close it!! It is quality made with perfectly fitting joints. Absolutely enjoy just seeing my watches sitting in this case. Nice to actually get a well made product that delivers the experience as advertised!! Thank you
Truly a perfect watch box. The design, materials and construction are nearly flawless, but what’s more is that I admire it every time i look at, or walk by, it. It’s beautiful, but not pretentious like most boxes out there. The only thing I would change is to make the little grip-pads thicker so that smaller diameter watches would make better contact - nothing you can’t change to suit your needs once it’s in your hands, but I see no downside for thicker pads straight out of the gate.
I sent my review directly to them. Their product is the best on the market
This is an amazing watch box. The finishing it's perfect. You can really tell the people who made this true care and take pride in there work. I will recommend this to anybody. Its super nice.
Case is beautiful. First impresion and opening for first time was amazing
First off, the case arrived in great condition. No chips, cracks or blemishes on the product. For coming from so far away, I was happy to see how well it was cared for along the way. The product itself is exactly what I was looking for. A somewhat different take on the traditional pillow-based box. I love the presentation the watches have when put into the box. You can see them from across the room. The movement when opening the door and presenting the watches is smooth and graceful; no snags or anything like that. It's a well designed and engineered product.
This is a beautifully crafted product and the online pictures just don't do it sufficient justice. If you have collectible watches this is a perfect complimentary display case. In my case, I liked it so much I went back and bought a second.
Very happy with my purchase Came well, pack, and exactly as shown on the website
Everything arrived packed safely
Great display case. The wood grain looks beautiful and the finish is excellent. It’s also really easy to put the watches in and take them out. If my watch collection grows, I’d happily buy another one.
Arrived right on time and I’m very impressed. The finish is smooth, and the open-and-close action feels really satisfying
I was looking for a watch box that felt a little different, and this one caught my eye. The moving mechanism is really fun, and it displays the watches beautifully whether it’s open or closed. Definitely makes me excited to see what you come out with next. Great piece!
Exactly as described. There are no differences at all. It’s a great product.
Bought for my fiance as a birthday present and he LOVED it! Honestly the best watch storage on the market. The quality was amazing, delivery was fast. But the best part is obviously the design - it is like a watch box and watch stand in one. The ultimate way to store your watches while still having them on display and being able to admire them. Would 100% recommend !
It’s a beautiful watch stand and makes displaying my watches incredibly easy
Beautiful gift to give a watch lover. The box is of the highest quality!
Loved it and greatly packaged
Lovely design that really showcases my watches.
The mechanism makes storing and accessing watches effortless. And seeing them displayed so cleanly is incredibly satisfying. A truly excellent piece!
The product looks premium and well-made, with a unique design; delivery takes a couple of weeks, but I was notified about late shipping during the ordering process, so I have no objections there. The price might not be justifiable (e.g. ordering a product from Europe adds another 55 eur for tax/customs fees), making the total quite costly.
Overall design is very nice and well built but I noticed that the turning is not very smooth at some turns.
I will not fully fault you for everything that you saw on the picture but there is a high chance that the logistic company not handling the package with care. However, the front casing was not sticking well, I have to glue it myself. It is disappointing considering the money that I paid.
